Pharma Cos. Fight Lilly Deposition Bid In Gemzar ITC Case

Law360, New York (July 26, 2011, 8:03 PM ET) -- Jiangsu Hansoh Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., ChemWerth Inc. and Hospira Inc. fought a bid Monday in the U.S. International Trade Commission by Eli Lilly & Co. to compel deposition from Hansoh employees in Lilly's patent infringement case over the cancer drug Gemzar.

Hansoh, ChemWerth and Hospira filed a joint response opposing Lilly's motion to compel with the ITC, pointing to the disruption and burden of sending eight Hansoh line technicians from Lianyungang, China, to Hong Kong to be deposed.
