Prepaid Phone Call Patent Not Invalid: Fed. Circ.

Law360, New York (July 26, 2011, 5:37 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Tuesday vacated part of a consent judgment which held that Aerotel Ltd.'s patent for a system allowing prepaid telephone use was invalid due to indefiniteness, partially overturning a lower court's claims construction.

The lawsuit dates back to December 2004, when Aerotel sued Telco Group Inc., Radiant Telecom Inc. and others in New York, claiming they had infringed U.S. Patent Number 4,706,275.
