A 1-2 Punch For Organized Labor

Law360, New York (August 1, 2011, 1:11 PM EDT) -- On Tuesday, June 21, 2011, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Labor-Management Standards (OLMS) published a notice of proposed rulemaking (NPRM) that would significantly expand reporting requirements under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA). In doing so, OLMS set off what could be, in hindsight, a windfall week for organized labor.
