Judge Threatens To Nix Comcast-NBC Antitrust Deal

Law360, San Diego (July 27, 2011, 10:02 PM EDT) -- A District of Columbia federal judge on Wednesday reportedly threatened to shoot down the U.S. government’s bid to approve an antitrust settlement clearing Comcast Corp.’s $37 billion acquisition of NBC Universal Inc. from General Electric Co.

U.S. District Judge Richard Leon took issue with arbitration terms available to online-content companies that seek to dispute Comcast's program licensing activities, pointing out that the arbitration agreements can’t be appealed, according to a Dow Jones news report.
