Sony, Bosch, Others Face Probe Over Video Analytics IP

Law360, New York (July 28, 2011, 7:05 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Wednesday that it would investigate ObjectVideo Inc.'s allegations that Sony Corp., Robert Bosch GmbH and Samsung Opto-Electronics America Inc. violated U.S. trade law by selling or importing video analytics software and systems that infringe several patents.

The probe was prompted by a June 29 complaint by Reston, Va.-based video analytics software development company ObjectVideo, which alleged infringement of six patents and sought a permanent exclusion order barring the allegedly infringing products and components from coming into the U.S., as well...
