Ex-Hospital Admins Face 2 Trials In Kickbacks Case

Law360, New York (July 28, 2011, 3:28 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge ruled Thursday that two former New York Presbyterian Hospital facilities administrators will face two criminal trials instead of one over allegations that they took kickbacks in exchange for awarding more than $42 million in contracts.

U.S. District Judge George B. Daniels told parties that he would allow accusations concerning asbestos abatement, monitoring and construction contracts to to be tried separately from those related to heating and air-conditioning services in the criminal case against Santo Saglimbeni and Emilio “Tony” Figueroa.
