BofA, Yelp, Others Sued Over Traffic System IP

Law360, New York (July 29, 2011, 10:03 PM EDT) -- Bank of America Corp., LivingSocial US LLC, Yelp Inc. and several other companies were hit with an intellectual property suit in Texas on Friday over alleged infringement of a patent for a system that provides road traffic information to users via mobile apps.

Patent-holding company Traffic Information LLC claims that each defendant is infringing at least one claim of its patent for a system of transmitters and receivers that communicate information about traffic congestion at certain geographic locations.
