Skadden Reps Archer In $742M Great White Tie-Up

Law360, New York (August 1, 2011, 8:03 PM EDT) -- Archer Ltd. announced Monday it was acquiring Great White Energy Services Inc. in a deal valued at $742 million, a transaction designed to serve as an entry point into the fracking market for the oilfield services company.

Bermuda-based Archer, through a subsidiary, signed a purchase and sale agreement for all of the operating companies of Great White, which was formed by Wexford Capital LP. Archer said the deal would essentially double its capacity for coil tubing and directional drilling in the U.S.
