FDA Proposes Committee For Risk Communication

Law360, New York (June 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- In an attempt to better communicate the risks and benefits of drugs to the public, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Monday that it is forming a new advisory committee.

The move to create the Risk Communication Advisory Committee comes the same week as a scheduled meeting in the U.S. House of Representatives to study the agency's assessment of safety of the diabetes drug Avandia.
