Gerber Settles Suit Over $282M Sale To Vector

Law360, New York (August 2, 2011, 4:44 PM EDT) -- Automation equipment maker Gerber Scientific Inc. said Monday it had settled a shareholder's putative class action in a Connecticut state court aimed at blocking its $282 million sale to private equity company Vector Capital Corp.

Shareholder Sally Behn agreed to drop her suit in exchange for modifications to a deal-related proxy statement, Gerber said in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

Once it's approved, the settlement will end litigation stemming from the deal, which the companies announced in June.
