Motorola Hit With Patent Suit Over Headset Technology

Law360, New York (August 3, 2011, 1:36 PM EDT) -- Effingo Wireless Inc. slapped Motorola Mobility Inc. with a lawsuit in Texas federal court on Tuesday, accusing the cellphone maker of selling wireless headset assemblies that violate a patent.

Texas-based Effingo filed a complaint alleging that for the past six years, Motorola has sold products that infringe its patent, U.S. Patent Number 7,505,793, titled “Wireless earpiece assembly.” The allegedly infringing products include the Motorola S9, S9HD and Motorola S10HD products.
