Forest Labs Told To Turn Over Docs On CEO To Icahn

Law360, Wilmington (August 3, 2011, 7:31 PM EDT) -- Activist investor Carl Icahn won ammunition for his proxy fight with Forest Laboratories Inc. on Wednesday when a Delaware state judge ordered the drugmaker to disclose documents that shed light on why the federal government wants its CEO to step down.

Six funds controlled by Icahn sued in June, demanding that Forest open up its books and explain the company’s staunch support of longtime CEO Howard Solomon even though the government has threatened to stop doing business with the company unless he is removed.
