Cargill Hit With Suit Over Salmonella Infection

Law360, New York (August 05, 2011, 5:37 PM ET) -- A man slapped Cargill Meat Solutions Corp. with a suit Friday in Arkansas federal court alleging its ground turkey gave him salmonella poisoning, two days after the company recalled 36 million pounds of the product.

The complaint says salmonella-contaminated turkey processed at Cargill's Springdale, Ark., facility was responsible for 38-year-old Arizona resident David Taber's life-threatening infection.
