‘Captain America’ 3-D Co. Settles Ownership Fight

Law360, Los Angeles (August 08, 2011, 8:21 PM ET) -- Stereo D LLC, a visual effects company that worked on the 3-D conversion of summer blockbuster "Captain America," settled a contract dispute last week in California over an ownership stake in the company.

The deal ends a March 2010 lawsuit lodged by David Phillips, who claimed he entered into a partnership agreement with Stereo D President William Sherak that entitled the sales agent to a 16 percent share of the Burbank, Calif.-based company, according to the notice of settlement filed Friday.
