Ex-Stroock Partner Sues Over Retirement Benefits

Law360, New York (August 09, 2011, 2:29 PM ET) -- A longtime former Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP securities and insurance partner sued the firm in California on Friday, claiming he is entitled to retirement benefits that his ex-employer has refused to pay.

Michael F. Perlis filed a two-page complaint asking the court to rule on whether the firm owes him his retirement benefits, which he said were fully vested. Now a partner at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP, Perlis was a member of the Stroock partnership for more than 20 years.
