Studio Files Class Action Against YouTube

Law360, New York (June 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- An independent country music publisher took on YouTube Inc. and its parent company, Google Inc., in a proposed class action filed Thursday in Nashville federal court charging the online video company with copyright infringement.

While acknowledging that YouTube generally acts in good faith in removing infringing material when alerted to its presence, Cal IV Entertainment LLC says this is not sufficient.
