Law360, New York (August 10, 2011, 8:25 PM ET) -- A California federal judge declined Tuesday to disqualify Keker & Van Nest LLP attorneys from representing the ex-CEO of SK Foods LP against charges that he fixed tomato prices, even though the firm also represents a potential government witness in the case.
U.S. District Judge Lawrence K. Karlton denied the prosecutors' request despite claims that the firm's segregation efforts weren't enough to mitigate the conflict in representing both former tomato magnate Frederick Salyer and the ex-subordinate who will testify against him, Mark Grewal.
