SEC Demands Info On Deere’s Overseas Activities

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 1:49 PM EDT) -- Deere & Co. said Thursday it had received a request from the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to provide information related to its overseas activities after a newspaper reported the farm equipment giant was being looked at for possible violations of anti-bribery laws.

The Moline, Il.-based Deere said it was cooperating with the SEC after the agency asked the company to voluntarily produce documents relating to its activities, and those of third parties, in certain foreign countries.
