AutoZone Class Says Worker Was Fired Over OT Suit

Law360, New York (August 11, 2011, 10:43 PM EDT) -- A conditionally certified class of AutoZone Inc. store managers urged an Arizona federal judge Wednesday to force the auto parts retail chain to rehire a manager they claim was fired because she was participating in the suit over overtime pay.

The plaintiffs filed a motion for a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction arguing that AutoZone unlawfully fired Volena Glover-Hale in retaliation for her participation in the suit, which claims AutoZone improperly classified store managers as exempt from receiving overtime pay.
