Levits Drops Name To Settle Levitz IP Suit

Law360, New York (August 12, 2011, 1:52 PM ET) -- Levits Furniture Warehouse Corp. agreed Thursday in New York to drop Levits from its name to settle an infringement suit with YA IP Holdings LLC, which owns the trademarks of liquidated Levitz Furniture Corp.

YA IP Holdings bought the "You'll Love it at Levitz" slogan and "Levitz" trademark during the liquidation of Levitz. The trademark holder and Levits Furniture will not exchange any money, but Levits agreed to an injunction barring it from using "Levits," "Levit's," "Levitz," or "any name or term confusingly similar" to YA...
