Ex-NY Life VP Sues Over Bonus, Severance

Law360, New York (August 15, 2011, 3:09 PM EDT) -- A former executive at New York Life International Inc. sued the insurance giant Friday in New York state court, claiming the company had violated its contractual obligation to pay him a proper bonus as well as severance after eliminating his position.

John Ohe — formerly an international vice president at New York Life's business development division — left his position on March 21, a few months after he learned the company planned to do away with his job, according to Ohe's complaint.
