Verizon, AT&T, Others Sued Over High-Speed Internet IP

Law360, New York (August 15, 2011, 4:36 PM ET) -- Brandywine Communications Technologies LLC on Friday smacked Verizon Communications Inc., AT&T Inc. and two other telecommunications giants with a lawsuit in Florida federal court, alleging the companies' high-speed Internet services violate seven of its modem technology patents.

Brandywine seeks a judgment that Verizon, AT&T, EarthLink Inc. and CenturyLink Inc. are infringing and committing acts of contributory infringement toward the patents.
