FTC Wants More Info On $2.3B Hertz, Dollar Thrifty Deal

Law360, New York (August 16, 2011, 1:57 PM EDT) -- Car rental giant Hertz Global Holdings Inc. said Monday it had received a request from U.S. antitrust regulators for additional details on its proposed $2.25 billion acquisition of Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group Inc.

The request for additional information may signal a new hurdle for Hertz’s bid to best rival Avis Budget Group Inc. in a long-running battle to take over Dollar Thrifty.
