Medicis, Nycomed Settle Vanos Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (August 16, 2011, 4:45 PM EDT) -- Nycomed US Inc. and Medicis Pharmaceutical Corp. on Tuesday reached a licensing agreement to settle a patent infringement fight in New York over a generic version of skin treatment Vanos.

U.S. District Judge Denise L. Cote dismissed the suit after the two pharmaceutical companies notified the court that they had agreed on a licensing agreement.
