High Court Asked To Rehear DuPont Contamination Suit

Law360, Washington (August 16, 2011, 5:59 PM EDT) -- A group of West Virginia residents petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court earlier this month to overturn a ruling in favor of DuPont Co. in a putative class action over contamination of West Virginia drinking water with a hazardous Teflon compound.

Residents of Parkersburg, W.Va., brought the case in 2006 over contamination of the city's public water supply with perfluorooctanoic acid, or PFOA.
