Broadcasters Win IP Case Over Journalist's War Videos

Law360, New York (August 16, 2011, 10:19 PM ET) -- A Florida federal judge ruled Monday that Spanish-language broadcasters did not infringe Cuban author and journalist Norberto Fuentes' copyright by using his videos of Cuban historical figures in a news program.

“Based upon the largely uncontroverted facts in this record, we agree that the defendants’ use of the work was, as a matter of law, protected fair use,” U.S. District Judge Federico A.
