Tips For The Next Round Of RIFs

Law360, New York (September 30, 2011, 6:53 PM EDT) -- With anticipated cuts in government spending and a bleak economic forecast, employment lawyers expect many companies that trimmed their staffs in the recession to implement another round of layoffs in the near future.

After reducing their workforces as a result of economic conditions in 2008 and 2009, another round of downsizing will be more difficult for companies because there are now fewer people doing more work, according to Condon McGlothlen of Seyfarth Shaw LLP.
