2nd Circ. Nixes Westlaw Freelancers' $18M Settlement

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 6:47 PM ET) -- Six years after a lower court approved an $18 million settlement in a copyright suit by freelance writers against the operators of Westlaw and other databases, the Second Circuit rejected the deal Wednesday, ruling it did not adequately represent all class members.
