9th Circ. Ups Farm Worker Class Action Damages To $2M

Law360, New York (August 17, 2011, 7:54 PM EDT) -- The Ninth Circuit ruled Wednesday that a class of workers suing two fruit growers, a labor contractor and Platte River Insurance Co. over denial of work and wrongful termination deserved the maximum $1.9 million in damages, partially reversing the lower court's judgment.
