Jury To Weigh Zappa ITunes Copyright Claims

Law360, New York (August 18, 2011, 7:35 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday declined to settle two major issues in a copyright infringement suit between rock legend Frank Zappa’s estate and a Warner Music Group subsidiary, saying a jury should decide who owns several original recordings from the Zappa catalog and whether a 1994 agreement allows Warner to distribute Zappa's music on iTunes.
