Panda Express Discriminated Against Latino Workers: EEOC

Law360, New York (August 19, 2011, 4:33 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission sued fast food chain owner Panda Restaurant Group in California federal court Wednesday, alleging management in one store discriminated against the restaurant's Latino employees by giving them fewer hours and more menial tasks.

"Hispanic workers who worked as counter help were required to clean the bathroom, tables and counters, while Asian employees were permitted to simply stand around and watch," the EEOC said.
