Law360, New York (August 22, 2011, 4:00 PM ET) -- A Massachusetts federal judge on Monday dismissed a putative class action alleging U-Haul International Inc. invited rival Avis Budget Group Inc. to collude on prices for truck rentals.
Named plaintiff Marcia Mei-Lee Liu says U-Haul's unfair and deceptive practices caused her to pay more for truck rentals than she should have on two particular occasions, but U.S. District Judge George A. O'Toole said Liu failed to plausibly allege an injury in her complaint.
