Ex-Frontier Holdings CEO Tries To Trim Fraud Evidence

Law360, New York (August 22, 2011, 4:46 PM EDT) -- A former Frontier Holdings Inc. executive accused of investment fraud asked a Georgia federal court on Saturday to preclude from his criminal trial any evidence against him that is not backed by the testimony of an alleged victim.

Former CEO Jeffrey Wallace Edwards — whose trial for allegedly bilking $7.4 million from 31 investors began this week — argues that in order to prove he committed fraud and money laundering, prosecutors must point to specific material misrepresentations he made to his victims.
