Law360, New York (August 22, 2011, 10:39 PM ET) -- Avocet Sports Technology Inc. filed suit Monday in California federal court seeking more than $20 million from Garmin International Inc., Implus Footcare LLC and others for allegedly infringing a patent covering altimeter technology.
The suit alleges that Implus, Garmin, camping equipment company Brunton Outdoor Group and Casio America Inc. have infringed U.S. Patent No. 5,058,427, which describes an altimeter that measures altitude changes from a reference level.
