AT&T, Best Buy Argue AUO Flat-Panel Patents Invalid

Law360, New York (August 23, 2011, 7:40 PM EDT) -- AT&T Inc. and Best Buy Co. Inc. argued Monday that six patents for flat-screen technology that AU Optronics Corp. has asserted in a U.S. International Trade Commission case are invalid.

The companies both denied any wrongdoing in the case over an AT&T smartphone made by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., arguing that the patents were invalid and unenforceable due to inequitable conduct.
