Enviros Try To Kill Dow Suit Over US Pesticide Study

Law360, New York (August 23, 2011, 6:42 PM EDT) -- A Maryland federal judge on Tuesday allowed four environmental and fishermen's groups to intervene in Dow AgroSciences LLC and two other companies' suit against the National Marine Fisheries Service over its finding that their pesticides were harmful to Pacific salmon.

The groups want to dismiss the suit, in which the three chemical companies claim the NMFS used faulty information when it found that three insecticides made by the companies threatened the existence of the endangered Pacific salmon. The companies — Dow, Makhteshim Agan of North America...
