Class Counsel Awarded $13M In Sirius XM Antitrust Deal

Law360, New York (August 24, 2011, 10:04 PM EDT) -- A New York federal judge on Wednesday signed off on a $180 million settlement in an antitrust class action stemming from the merger that created Sirius XM Radio Inc., awarding plaintiffs’ attorneys a controversial $13 million.

Several objectors had argued that the suit awarded class counsel far too much money, while not doing much to provide meaningful relief for the class.
