Apple Triumphs In ZapMedia Patent Suit Over ITunes

Law360, New York (August 24, 2011, 10:42 PM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge ruled in favor of Apple Inc. in private technology company ZapMedia Services Inc.'s patent suit alleging the computer giant's iTunes software and related consumer products like the iPod infringed a ZapMedia Services patent, according to an order unsealed Wednesday.

In the order signed July 20, U.S. District Judge David Folsom adopted a magistrate judge's recommendation and granted Apple's request for summary judgment of noninfringement of all of the asserted claims.
