Law360, New York (August 25, 2011, 12:25 PM ET) -- Baxter International Inc. announced Thursday that it had reached an agreement to purchase Baxa Corp., which develops oral and intravenous drug delivery systems, for $380 million.
Baxter said that accounting and other expenses for the all-cash transaction would cause a temporary drag of 3 to 5 cents per share on its fiscal 2012 earnings, but that the deal would be a net boon to its share price in 2013 and beyond.
