Pfizer Settles Lipitor Patent Suit Against Dr. Reddy's

Law360, New York (August 30, 2011, 1:24 PM ET) -- Pfizer Inc. on Monday settled a patent infringement suit lodged in Delaware federal court against Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. over its plans to produce a generic version of the blockbuster anti-cholesterol drug Lipitor.

U.S. District Judge Leonard P. Stark signed off on a joint motion dismiss the case without prejudice, ending a lawsuit that alleged Dr. Reddy’s abbreviated new drug application for a generic version of Lipitor infringed Pfizer’s patent covering the medication.
