Obama Picks Princeton Professor For CEA

Law360, New York (August 29, 2011, 4:45 PM EDT) -- President Barack Obama nominated economist Alan B. Krueger on Monday to lead the Council of Economic Advisers, tasking the Princeton University professor with giving the executive branch "unvarnished analysis and recommendations" on how to improve the U.S.' economic growth.

Krueger, who returned to his academic post in 2010 after serving as chief economist at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, will replace Austan Goolsbee, who is returning to the University of Chicago where he is a professor of economics.
