Law360, New York (August 30, 2011, 4:33 PM ET) -- Hopewell Culture & Design LLC on Tuesday told a Texas federal court that it had reached a settlement with Samsung Electronics USA Inc., one of several defendants in a patent infringement suit over double-clicking technology used in smartphones.
Samsung and Hopewell, a Plano, Texas-based patent-holding company, asked the court to dismiss the case and Samsung's counterclaims with prejudice in a joint motion, saying they had reached a patent licensing and settlement agreement Aug. 10.
