Fifth Third Loan Officers Win Class Cert. In OT Suit

Law360, New York (September 01, 2011, 7:14 PM ET) -- A group of former Fifth Third Bank mortgage loan officers won their bid for class certification Wednesday in an Ohio suit claiming the bank owes them overtime back pay.

The former mortgage loan officers contend in their complaint that Fifth Third violated the Fair Labor Standards Act by failing to categorize their positions as eligible for overtime while they were employed by the bank.
