Sony Can't Remove Texas Data Patent Suit To Calif.

Law360, New York (September 1, 2011, 9:38 PM EDT) -- A Texas magistrate judge on Tuesday shot down Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc.'s request to transfer a gaming technology company's data transmission patent infringement suit from Texas to California.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Charles Everingham IV rejected Sony's argument that he should reconsider his September 2009 refusal to move the proceedings from the Eastern District of Texas to the Northern District of California.
