7th Circ. Slashes Email Marketer's Damages To $3

Law360, New York (September 2, 2011, 7:08 PM EDT) -- The Seventh Circuit on Friday blasted the delay tactics of an email marketing company in its suit against a nonprofit spam-blocking firm, reducing the marketing company's damages in the suit — which had once been nearly $12 million — to just $3.

The now-defunct marketing company, e360 Insight Inc., first sued the British nonprofit Spamhaus Project in 2006. E360 accused Spamhaus of tortious interference for putting it on a list of spammers used by Internet service providers to block junk email for customers.
