Michaels Enters Fray In Chinese Tissue Paper Duty Fight

Law360, New York (September 6, 2011, 7:35 PM EDT) -- Michaels Stores Inc. launched a suit in the U.S. Court of International Trade on Friday challenging the government's determination that a Vietnamese paper manufacturer had circumvented an anti-dumping duty order on tissue paper from China.

In a final determination published in the Federal Register on Aug. 5, the U.S. Department of Commerce found that Max Fortune (Vietnam) Paper Products Co. Ltd. dodged the anti-dumping duty order by producing or exporting tissue paper from Vietnam to the U.S. that was made from jumbo rolls or cut sheets...
