8th Circ. Backs Mass Mutual In ERC Reinsurance Fight

Law360, New York (September 7, 2011, 5:38 PM ET) -- The Eighth Circuit on Wednesday affirmed a ruling that Employers Reinsurance Co. was required under a reinsurance agreement to follow the settlements of Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Co., which ERC sued for refusing to return payments on contested disability claims.
