Law360, New York (September 16, 2011, 3:22 PM EDT) -- The Justice Department may be turning what has previously amounted to an administrative registration law into a prosecutorial sword to expose agents of foreign interests seeking political and economic outcomes in the United States. Two U.S. citizens, one residing in Fairfax, Va., and one residing in Pakistan, were recently charged in a Virginia federal court with using millions of dollars from Pakistan's intelligence service to lobby the U.S. government, including over $100,000 provided for campaign contributions to members of Congress.
