UK Food Standards Agency To Publish Meat Plant Audits

Law360, Los Angeles (September 7, 2011, 8:40 PM EDT) -- The board of the U.K.’s Food Standards Agency agreed Wednesday to routinely publish audit reports of domestic meat plants.

“The board has always supported the idea of routinely publishing meat plant audits, in line with the principle of always favoring publication,” FSA chair Jeff Rooker said. “It is right that we begin this process at the earliest opportunity, as the meat industry needs to know that this is our intention.”
