Apple, Google, Others Sued Over Website Patent

Law360, New York (September 08, 2011, 2:33 PM ET) -- Droplets Inc. on Wednesday fired off a lawsuit in Texas federal court against six technology heavyweights, including Apple Inc. and Google Inc., claiming their main company websites and applications infringe two of the software developer's patents.

The suit — which also targets Amazon.com Inc., Facebook Inc., Yahoo Inc. and YouTube LLC — asserts Droplet's two U.S. patents, which cover technology allowing access to graphic user interfaces over both the internet and private client/server networks.
